Gadong outing

Taken during the walkabout today with the other photogs. The turnout was surprisingly quite good considering it was a last minute thing. Hope you all like 'em.

Fireworks

The collage below consists of the JPEGS that came straight from the camera. Couldn't be arsed to do any post-processing to the RAW files. Just your standard resize and crop. No sharpening, noise reduction or color correction. Oh well...

Royal Wedding

Some of the pics from today's event in the capital. I started the morning from Jalan Babu Raja since I had to park my car there and walked alllll the way to CB in Bandar! Good thing I had zadm for company! LOL!

Congratulations to Yang Teramat Mulia Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Majeedah Nuurul Bulqiah and Pengiran Khairul Khalil Pengiran Syed Haji Jaafari

Night shoot

FIFTEEN! That's how many photogs turned up last night for the night shoot. While waiting for the rain to die down, everyone gathered @ CB for a pre-shoot 'minum'. The meeting was interesting, to say the least...what with everyone on the look-out for the she-shooters! hahaha! Below are some of the pics from last night. Im sure the others will post up better ones pretty soon so blog-hop to your favorite sharpshooter's site now and see if they went!

Creamy bokeh

I forgot I kept this image taken during the macro outing a while back. I was testing out airbiscuit's Nikon 85mm f/1.4 lens and took a few random shots of stuff around us while we were taking a breather. Ok so the composition's not so good but I was more concerned with the bokeh the lens produced. Bloody creamy, don't you think? Looks like someone took the background, stuffed it into a blender and pureed the hell out of it! Yummy!

My Sunday...

Ok...so this was my Sunday. Pretty full, I have to say considering I was actually planning on not going out at all. I only had a couple of hours sleep the nite before so I was pretty much a walking zombie when I got to bandar at 6:30 in the morning! Glad I decided to go though...some of the familiar faces present were truly a sight for sore eyes! Covered the AIDS Awareness "Walk For Life" event and the races at JP while slotting in b'fast @ JC with reeda and wife, airbiscuit, ber, rano and souljah.

I seem to paying for my somewhat over-ambitious day though...starting to feel a bit sh**ty now. Been feelin' like it all day to be honest!

Anyways...below are some of the pics and links to more from Sunday.

p/s: Yes...I managed to sneak in a few macro shots as well :p

Have a good week everyone!

As per requested by many...here are some of the pictures from yesterday (Tasek Lama and softball). More of the softball pics can be found here. Apologies for the minimal quantity. I had to leave early yesterday.

Business School Fun Day @ Yayasan

Had the usual Sunday b'fast with the rest of the photogs yesterday. It was a nice easy Sunday morning with airbiscuit, rezafaizal, monteloo, ucingitam, zul, aku, souljah and zadm. Reza was showing off his very excellent new Canon G7 and posting some shots from it on his site to boot. Ucingitam informed us about some sort of fun fair going on at Yayasan organised by the Business School.

With a line long list of things on offer ranging from displays of classic minis to vespas, bouncers for the small kids and Pro Evo for the big ones (!), netball for the gurls, football for the boys, there was something for everyone in the family (karaoke, anyone?). The Mini display was of particular interest to me coz seeing them just reminded me of the two that I owned when i was in the UK. *sigh* wish I cud've brought 'em back with me! More pictures from yesterday's event can be found here

If you wish to purchase any of the pictures, you can e-mail me here

On an interesting side note, check out the entry by Out of Focus from the guys over at iso [i,saw] hehehe!

Another great Sunday...

It was another fine Sunday when I got to meet up with some of the photogs from the bruneiforever forum. It was a who's who of sorts of the lads from the forum. Airbiscuit, souljah, bruneian, nikonian, zul, zadm, reza, anakbrunei and rano were all in attendence for TT @ JC. It was funny to meet zadm since he's been on my msn contact list since 2000 (!) but never actually met till yesterday. Apparently we "met" on-line on a UK counter-strike server way back when we were both studying there. LOL! Counter-strike...

Anyways, what was supposed to be just a TT session turned out to be quite a good day when rano informed us about some go-kart (and scooters) race going on at JP. Sooo...I decided to go down and check it out along with airbiscuit and souljah. I figured karts going round a track would prove more interesting this Sunday since we've been covering softball of the past two weeks already. It was soooo much more difficult than I expected especially in trying to execute decent panned shots! Unfortunately my 70-300mm wasn't quick enough to pull off those types of shots easily, although I did manage to get some acceptable ones. I've posted more of the pics from yesterday here

On a different note, I also got the opportunity to try out airbiscuit's Nikon 105mm VR macro lens. Damn! That's lens is sweet! arrgghh...! Choices! Choices!
