Y'know, to get Dave Hill's look, it's all in the original photo. Lighting plays an important role in trying to achieve that photoshop look of his. I think I might try this out with some of my studio photos. Thanks for linking. Gives me something to do at work haha
Jim, although you've captured different expressions, they're both formidable... These smiles with bright eyes are great!... And contrasting with that expression of a «bad» guy!

PS: Jim, last times I came here, your site seems a little «heavy». Am I wrong? Because takes some time to load!
Thanks for the comments pedro. Regarding the site taking time to load, it could be due to traffic overload with blogger.com's main server. I hope the issue is resolved already.
oh just to add...since i am now linking the pictures that i post on my site from flickr, delays in loading the page could also be due to congestion from the flickr servers.
the reason in upload my pictures to flickr rather than directly to blogger is to maintain the quality of the images. Blogger's compression is just too much and degrades the images too much for my liking.

Now I'm gonna try and see if I can re-create it
Yep, definitely works with lots of highlights and shadows so there's a dramatic play across the subject.
Good luck Syaf! Let us know how it turns out! :)
Thanks ber! Bah..bila belanja di manjaro? :p
Done - well not that happy with it but I can't redo it coz:
1) I forgot my steps
2) It takes too long to restart all over again.
Check out my site, I posted it there or go straight to http://shutterspeech.blogspot.com/2007/06/re-creating-style.html that link
